When I try to download Rock all that downloads is a text file no program. Am I doing something wrong?

I have downloaded the zip file to my down loads. I as asked to select how to open the file. I chose notepad,
Now, you know that this will not work because it is not an ASPX file. What do I do? Not a good first step for us.
