GroupView Left

I am trying to setup a new security role. When I navigate to Group Viewer - Groupviewleft tells me "Error Unauthorized" I have set the group type security and the group view page to the correct new security role. Anything I might be missing?

Well I figured out how to solve that mystery. I added the new security role to Rock.Model.RestController - Rest Controller. The issue not being the Rest Controller per say but Rock.Rest.Controllers.DataViewFiltersController  Rock.Rest.Controllers.DataViewsController, setting the new security on these allows you to view the Group Tree view.

Hi Derek. I added view permissions to all 3, but its still not working. The security role is also on the Tree. am i missing something? help appreciated

Did you set the security for the whole Rest Controller in Entity Administration section in Security? I tried mimicing the security roles for RSR - Staff.

Strange, . Ive assigned Security for the role to Rest Controller, Page, the actual Tree, Each Group and Section

So they have permission on every possible angle but it still says " Error Unauthorized"

Sorry I'm not much help. I'm not exactly sure how I changed the security to allow the Group Tree to show. It appears you have taken the same steps I have.

I also set my new security role here - Rock.Model.GroupType. Though, I don't think this will affect the tree.

Can you post a screen shot of the security rights on your Group Viewer page? (not the groupleft block, but the page itself)
