RockRMS on Mono

Has anyone installed the RockRMS on Mono?  Would this even be possible?  I just want to be able to leverage/utilize existing Linux servers for our Rock instance.

    I sure haven't tried it, but I can't imagine that it would work (or work well, if at all.) Rock isn't just some C# code running on the server... it's tightly integrated with IIS and SQL Server, both of which are most definitely Windows-land-only. Even if you could get it to work, I would guess that the time and effort it took to do so (and maintain it) would far outweigh the cost of some Windows/SQL licensing (or going with a hosted environment), especially considering Microsoft's impressive charity pricing for non-profits.

    That's my .02, anyway!

    Jim,

    I appreciate your input.  I too, am realizing it might be better to take advantage of a reliable cloud instance.  I just thought I would ask and see if there was even a possibility.
