I'm looking for info on the early access program. I don't see how I will know that it has been activated.

Early Access is indicated on your Admin | General Settings | Rock Update page and looks like this

I would add that if you are already contributing to Spark and don't see the Early Access indicator, just email info@sparkdevnetwork.org and let them know so they can associate your Rock instance with you.
