Reserving seats at an event without names

I have hit a slight problem whilst trying to use Event Registration. We run a free film club every six weeks. I would like for a registrant to be able to reserve a number of seats. No problem so far, however, I do not need the names those registered.

How can I do this?

When we’ve done this in the past, we’ll add a registration attribute of type “number”. Then ask the question - how many people, including yourself, would you like to reserve seats for? If you check the “show in grid” box, this will show their answer on the registrants tab too so you can export it later.

Hi, Chris thanks for your answer.
How did you manage to control the number of tickets sold so that you didn't overfill the venue? Did you get Rock to do that or did you need to do it manually?

Starting with Rock v9, there is a "Maximum Available" feature on "fees" so you can control how many of a particular, limited quantity item can be 'sold'. https://community.rockrms.com/documentation/bookcontent/29/155#settingupfees

We do the same thing here that Chris has described and we've had out staff watch it and close the registration manually. I would vote for an RSVP functionality to be implemented in future versions though!
