How rapid can Rapid Attendance be?

I'm evaluating Rock RMS for a church probably at the smaller end of the scale. We have two congregations, around 50 and 150 in size.

At this scale, I belive the fastest way to record attendance at church services is to present a list of members, and let the user click on the names of members at the given service.

Is this something Rock can be set up to support? I looked around, but the underlying mechanism for Rapid Attendance Entry appeared to be to search by name.

Many thanks,

David

Hi David! Yes, it can be as easy as you described above. This can be accomplished by creating a general group for each of these congregations and then taking the attendance by clicking each of the names in the group for the weekly services. I've utilized this method for years with my smaller church in order to get individual weekend service attendance recorded.

You'll want to ensure that your Group Type of your groups have "Takes Attendance" enabled. And you can read about the process here: https://community.rockrms.com/documentation/bookcontent/7/296#groupattendance
Here's a quick 2 min overview video of group attendance that is somewhat older but the content is applicable for your needs: https://community.rockrms.com/rocku/groups/group-attendance

Thanks, that's helpful. I'll give that a try.
