Checking Out

I'm trying to find info on how to Chekout, once we have kids checked in.  The documantation in the learn area seems to only cover setup and checkin.

Thanks!

    Hey Don,

As far as I'm aware there is no "check out" functionality. If you wanted something like that you would have to create something yourself.

Thanks Aaron. I could have sworn that I saw something about that at one time. So do most Churches that do electronic check-in, only do check-in and no check-out?

Don, we ran into the same problem and wrote a check out process into our attended check-in. We hope to have that available via the Rock store in the next few months

    Does this exist yet?

      Hey Matt,
NewSpring have something I believe. I'll try and forward one of them here to respond on the availability of this.

Hi Matt, our attended check is scheduled to be released at rx2016! Our checkout process is simply just a way to "undo" a check-in so if that is what you mean that'll be available.

What I was looking for was a way to check kids out and for it to log who checked them out and who picked them up. Not sure why this would not be included, also the fact that you can check in a kid twice is bad. These are too huge security flaws. As a parent I think this is very imporant as anyone could make a fake tag with the unique id that matches and pick a kid up. I really liked the software untill I saw these 2 flaws in the security. We have Power church which does all of this but I was considering yours. There are some things I really like about you're software though. If you could get thoes 2 isses fixed it would make me want to consider using yours. I really don't think development time is that much to be able to implement these to things. Is there a way we could chat on the phone, I believe your from rock, correct?

      Hey Matt,
I'm not sure who this was aimed at but neither Frank or I are from Rock. With any system it's possible to create a fake tag all you need is a printer! The way Rock handles check-in isn't any less secure than any other existing solution in that regard. If you check-in a child a second time you won't be able to create a check-in label matching the child's existing label.
In my experience, development time is a mystical thing and what appears to be a trivial isn't necessarily so and vice versa.
      Hope that helps.
