The IT Associate is responsible for supporting the IT processes and communication in a way that removes barriers to The Church of Eleven22® vision of being a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ. This position is responsible for providing technical support for computer systems and to troubleshoot issues encountered by end users.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the first point of contact for the IT Helpdesk and offer support for computer hardware, applications and systems

Diagnose issues with systems and escalate as needed

Provide training and manage onboarding for new staff

Execute weekend services alongside San Pablo campus staff

Support the IT team to maintain all existing applications and hardware

Occasional offsite campus installs and support on both MacOS and Windows computers for users, campuses and events

Support ministry requested needs and events with a ministry-minded focus

Attend occasional meetings to communicate challenges, goals and needs

Provide general administrative support for IT Manager and tasks as assigned

Ensure serve staff are being discipled, trained, utilized and supported

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

1-2 years of experience in ministry preferred

1-2 years of work experience in a support role for software and hardware

One year of helpdesk experience preferred

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time, non-exempt in person position. Days and hours of work may vary on church need.


The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This role would require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and bend or stand as necessary.


MINISTERIAL EXCEPTION

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
