This position is responsible for strengthening, planning and administering the IT processes and communication in a way that removes barriers to The Church of Eleven22® vision of being a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ. This position is responsible for being the primary liaison between IT and other ministry areas. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage IT staff by recruiting, training and coaching staff, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance

Oversee the IT infrastructure to include applications and devices to ensure ministry is well equipped

Lead and direct the assignment, execution and reporting of IT tasks that meets or exceeds expectations

Manage and coordinate activities to ensure multi-site coverage

Escalation point for technical problem resolution

Troubleshoot hardware and software components

Attend routine meetings with other ministry areas to communicate challenges, goals and needs

Perform liaison duties between IT and non-IT staff, serve staff and congregants and ensure training needs are being met

Audit systems and assess their outcomes

Manage vendor relationships and maintain up-to-date licensing

Ensure security of access controls

Provide the IT Director with essential budgets, reports, trends, maps and goals

Recruit serve staff and ensure they are being discipled, trained, utilized and supported

Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred

Three years of work experience in a manager role, including supervisory experience required

Experience managing multiple deadlines and teams

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work may vary on church need.


The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This role will also require the need to lift heavy equipment up to 50 pounds.


MINISTERIAL EXCEPTION

The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
