Our staff often wants to select a few serve teams to be able to shoot one email to. So instead of creating an email and copying it and clicking into each group to email or creating a data view, we implemented this solution.  With a lot of help from the Rock community we added this page where you can select the groups you are wanting to contact, you can even filter to just leaders or other roles and then email them all at once. Another great thing about this is that if someone is in two teams this will only show them in the list once so they don't receive the email twice. This page also allows you to do other things beyond emailing like bulk updating, merge docs and exporting to excel.

Alright let's get down to business.

1) Build a data view with one filter, "In Group(s) (Advanced) and don't choose any groups:

2) Build a report with whatever columns you want to know about these people. We chose name, email and is email active:

3) Then create a new page! We added our page under the Communications section so it lives right under New Communication and we titled the page Email Multiple Groups.

4) Add the Dynamic Report block to the page.

5) Then set the block settings and select the report you built! Here are our settings:

6) Hit save and give it a go! You will see this page which will let you choose groups:

7) After you choose groups you can even filter by roles!

8) Then hit filter and you will have a nice list of people to email! The little communication bubble will pull everybody in to a communication for you!

Happy Emailing!
