The Magic:

SettingsSearch-2.gif

As you may have noticed from previous RX presentations, I do my best to leverage the flexibility of Rock to make my day-to-day simpler. Today's life hack is a shortcut key combination to open a searchable list of Rock Settings.

The setup is fairly simple. I added an HTML block to the footer of an internal page and made sure it was set to be on the Site. Then, I added the attached code (with some help from Gemini) that handled the rest.

Note - Enable Entity Commands in the HTML block settings or it won't work.

There's only one line that you may want to change for your instance. There's an entity command with the expression "ParentPage.ParentPageId IN (4207,44)". These represent the grandparent pages of the pages I wanted listed. Here's which ones they are:

Feel free to adjust that however works best for you.

By default this uses the shortcut combos cmd-e and ctrl-e to open the modal. It will also respect shift or command to open in a new tab (but I couldn't figure out how to get it to focus on the new tab).

Let me know if you run into any issues. I'm on rocketchat - david.axelson.
