Broken images in gmail

We're having a problem with images from our emails being broken in the gmail web browser. I think this is a problem with google's image caching, but I haven't found a workaround for it. Does anyone know of a good solution (besides not using images ;) )?

Our administrator had a lot of issues with broken images and we found one issue on her side and something that might be a bug but i never looked into more or asked if anyone else was experiencing it.

Issue 1: She was including spaces in the image name...if you do this the image will not work.

Issue 2: Any image in the Content folder worked great, if she put the image in a sub folder it failed.

Also are you sure it's just gmail and not other e-mail clients also?

I would start by double checking those 3 things.

Awesome I am glad to hear it. And that also explains why our sub folders aren't working and how to fix it. I don't know how I missed that.

FYI... put in a change to rename these two directories to not have spaces in them for the next release.

Ok, great! That actually fixed it. There was a space in one of the Content subfolders. I changed it from "external site" to "external_site" and everything works. Thank you!
