Scheduled Transactions: ACH

We have been running live scheduled transactions for a couple of months now with staff and key leaders prior to unleashing the functionality to our congregation.  For cards, I have lots of successful scenarios on various periodic schedules.  I have only had one person elect ACH/Bank Account on a weekly basis.  PayPal Manager recognizes the recurring banking information transmitted by Rock RMS and everything looks ship shape on their side. That said, this weekly donation has never actually executed and appears to be the only scheduled transaction in Rock that is not "refreshing."  Thoughts?

I had to abandon our effort via Payflow Pro.  According to their service team, PayPal does directly support ACH activity through Payflow Pro.  Neither of the two subcontractors would work with us (Norwest did not specify why we were disqualified, Transfirst would not look at us because we never applied for "official" 501(c)(3) status or filed a tax return (neither of which are required for churches under current tax rules).

We ended up going with PushPay, and were up and running with a solution for Cr/Dr cards AND Automated Clearing House in about one week.  The PushPay/eChurch service is great from them and the Rock Plug-in is awesome!

Great! Glad you found a solution. Payflow is working great for us for ACH (via Norwest) but we're a 501c3 and have been set up with them for almost 5 years, so perhaps things have changed making it more difficult these days. We stayed with Payflow from the old system to Rock so as not to lose all of the recurring contribs we already had in place.

Have you contacted PayFlow and requested the ACH service?  There is a rather lengthy form and some financial reports that have to be submitted along with an additional $49.95 per month.  We are holding off on this for now because of the additional expense, but we experienced exactly the same thing when someone tried to schedule an ACH.

Are you saying that the recurring payment exists in Payflow and is or is not actually taking out the donation from the person's account? Can't tell from your description if you're saying Rock just isn't importing the transaction from Payflow, or if it's not even "firing". Have you tested ACH with Payflow at all, or is this the first time it's eve been used? Could be something amiss on the Payfkow side if that's the situation. Might try a small one time ACH transaction if you haven't to see if it's even set up correctly and working. Payflow needs additional config for ACH to work.
