Install on a Macbook Pro

So, if I am reading the guide right, Rock won't rock on my Macbook Pro.  Is that correct?  I have to instal it on a PC

    Hi Tim,

That is correct. It requires IIS and SQL which cannot run on a Mac. You'd probably want to install it on a copy of Windows Server as well.

What is Windows Server?  I'm not a tech guy.  Can I just install it on the desktop PC at our church office and use Webhostingpad?

Okay, thanks.  I think this is way beyond us right now.

For some churches, the thought of running their own server is crazy talk... that's why Rock has partners that can do all the heavy lifting for you and give you a "turnkey" experience where you just log in and start configuring. https://www.rockrms.com/Partners (scroll down to Hosting & Support) . Just wanted you to know it's an option.
