Install Issue at Beginning

Hello,

I am installing Rock for the first time and have a new hosting account with Winhost. I have set up my SQL Server database and it is working fine. I have accessed it in SQL Server Manager and everything looks in order. The tech at Winhost checked it and says it is fine. However, when I enter the database information on the first page of the installation and click on Next, nothing happens.

Anyone experienced this before?

Sounds like a possible memory error or the installer cant access the rock install files. If you have access to the server over remote desktop or a control panel try restarting IIS or the server its self. Also check iis log files for errors.

Is it required for Rock to be installed in the root directory of our website? We are running Wordpress form a subdirectory for our main site and I was trying to run the install from a subdirectory to keep from affecting the regular website.

you can use a subdomain for example: rock.yoursite.org but not yoursite.org/rock
