Error - Rock Update

Went to Rock update... received the following message. I do not know if there is a problem with the update server or my hosting server.

Whoa... That Wasn't Suppose To Happen

An error ocurred during the update process. Here's what happened... ...actually, I'm not sure what happened here:

An error occurred while loading packages from 'http://update.rockrms.com/F/rock/api/v2/': Access to the path 'C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\NuGet' is denied.

Murray, could you provide a few more details about your setup? Hosting server, windows version, current Rock version.

Also is Rock still functional or is it now broken?

We've heard similar (https://github.com/SparkDevNetwork/Rock/issues/1935) from other people with certain hosting (and haven't been able to pin point what they're doing differently in their environment). I suspect that provider has a newer version of NuGet in the GAC because there should be nothing going on under AppData\Roaming\ with Rock's usage of NuGet.

My host quoted this as the answer to the problem. Once updating was done, they reverted the settings back to the way they had them set, quoting website security. They have stated that I only need to quote the same ticket number in the future when I need to do future updates.

We provided the plesk user permissions for the files mentioned in the plesk support page: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000778794-RockCMS-shows-Access-Denied-in-software-updates and that resolved the issue.

    Hosting is on https://hostdepartment.com/

They're providing me with a Plesk portal for settings etc.

AppData folder on the hosting panel is set to read/write

I cannot reference via the portal what version of windows they're running.

Got this email from the host... anyone able to help explain what to do?

    Hi,

You are getting this error because your user account does not have access to the path "C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming". Is there a way for you to change the temp path in your application to a path under your hosting account, like "D:\Inetpub\vhosts\stclairanglican.org.au\httpdocs\temp". Changing the temp path will fix this issue.

Please see if this helps: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/problem/24316/nuget-access-is-denied-to-path.html

    Regards,
    Harry H,

Hello! I am exactly with the same problem! Does anyone know how to tell us how to solve it? I also use a hosting with Plesk portal for configuration.

    Grateful!

Hello Nick! Thank you for your help!
I've seen this suggestion on another topic, but I only have access to a plesk panel. I do not have access to make this type of modification. I contacted the support of my hosting, I have not yet had a concrete answer, they are evaluating ... Anyway, any other suggestions to solve the error will be welcome.
