Issues with Email verification on new Registrations

Hello!  We are onboarding to RockRMS.  We already have records in the system and are testing out registration for online giving.  Part of the process seems seamless and beautiful:


If a user attempts to register against an email address and matching last name already in the system, the end user will get a notification asking them if they want to use that record.  If they opt to use that record, they are advised that they will get an email to confirm it is them.


All these steps are brilliant!   There is only one problem....the email isn't being sent.

What are we doing wrong?  The system is sending emails for other things.  We must just be missing something simple.

    So slight update....it appears to be an issue with Mailgun.  Im not sure why.  It was working...then, without ANY changes to DNS, it stopped.  Now, DNS is not resolving.  Has anyone else had this happen?  I can't get SMTP to work well with it either.
