Abnormal Number of External Users

Hello!

This morning Rock has been reported ~300 active external users. That has been constant for the past two hours, going from being active to the past 5 minutes to 15 minutes and back again.

Any ideas as to what this could be? My first thought is something related to APIs. I did just enable Frontporch's own reporting tools.

Are you just seeing 300 visitors (green bubble) or people actually logged in? I agree that it's suspicious that you noticed it after enabling FP... I do think it logs in with an API key, which is really just a user (with a login) under the hood, so I wonder if this is just a side effect of that and "working as designed."
You might hop over to https://chat.rockrms.com and ask if anyone there has seen similar... we haven't, but we don't use FrontPorch, either.
