Icon checkin label issue

I downloaded the custom font and installed it on my printer (GK420d). The icon label prints but the 2 icons that should be at the bottom of the label for legal notes and allergies are printing at the top of the label in the black bar. They actually print are overlaid on the security code. Also the icon for birthday is off the top of the printer by a little. I tried resetting the printer to factory and reinstalling the font. The text label prints fine as do the notes and parents labels. Any other ideas?

In walking through the process of importing the font be sure to select the size of 26pt. This detail is not in the documentation. If this works for you let us know and we'll add it.

Frank, Sorry, I forgot to post the answer. This is the solution Jon found for me.

Open ZebraDesigner, in the printer settings go to the printer memory tab. Enable the memory card in the flash section. Then go into the Zebra Font Downloader and selected ‘Refresh memory card’.

I am having the issue described here, but the fix doesn't seem to work for me... no matter what I try, the icons print at the top. The rock font is in the printer, the memory card is "attached" to the printer driver, the icon images print fine... they just won't honor the position they're told to. Wherever I move an icon to in ZDesigner, it DOES go to the correct horizontal position, but ignores the vertical and prints at the very top. I even edited a prn file containing the icon to verify the position, and something like 50,486 should print at the bottom left of our 4x2.5 labels but it prints at the top left. Any ideas?

Ok, Kelly helped me figure this out! It is critical when using the Zebra font downloader to select "Download selected characters" and NOT "Download all characters". The former lets you specify the font size (26pt) while the latter doesn't prompt for any size and your font ends up being 100pt in the printer, totally messing things up. Also note that the icon will look huge on your label at 26pt, but you can make it smaller without issue.

Could you post a photo of the labels? We've tested them on our printer and they appear to be working. The deafult labels do print the icons in the top black bar by design, though they should be over the security code. See them might help us figure out what is wrong.  Thanks!

Perfect, thanks! That helps a lot. Could you email the contents of the label. Just follow these steps:

      1.) Goto: 'Admin Tools > Check-in Settings > Check-in Labels > Child Label (Icon)'
2.) Click on the label file (clicking on the name of the label 'Child Label (Icon)' in the 'Upload New File' field will display it's content.
3.) Email the content (should be ZPL which looks like machine code) to info(at)sparkdevnetwork.org
We'll take a look at it and match it to ours.

Help! I have the same problem, but can't seem to follow the solution given:

Open ZebraDesigner, in the printer settings go to the printer memory tab. Enable the memory card in the flash section. Then go into the Zebra Font Downloader and selected ‘Refresh memory card’

When I open ZebraDesigner I am asked whether to open or create a label. Do I create a new label? If I choose neither and click cancel, the Printer Settings under the File menu is disabled. I feel like I need more detailed instructions here. I must be missing something.

This problem is resolved in version 7.4. A new Rock icon font is available for installation, and can be installed in its entirety without having to install only the 26-point subset.
