Groups not populating from Checkin

I have Checkin functioning and the groups are set to "add on Checkin" but they are not adding members to the groups.  What am I doing wrong?  I

    I'm not at all sure what happened.....  but it works now.   No doubt user error, but how I'm still not sure.

      Weird, I was just testing it and was about to say I confirmed the error you were seeing.....wonder if there is a "lag" with settings and when they take effect with checkin??

        Just Tried again and it works....so it does look like there is a lag from when settings are changed with Group Types and when they are "in effect" in check-in

          The Check-in pages do cache kiosk/group configuration for 60 seconds. Does this fit with the "lag" you were noticing, or did you see them not get updated after waiting longer than 60 seconds?

          Hey Robbie,  I think the default behavior is not to automatically add members to a group when they checkin.  However you should be able to change the check-in Rule in the grouptype General settings (I think you would want to change it from None to Add On Check In):

          Hi Frank!  Thanks but that is what I meant in the origional posting by saying I have them set to ADD ON CHECKIN.     I thought that was all that was needed too but it does not work.

            Gotcha, sorry I must have read too fast! I'll play around with it and see if I can find anything out to help!
