group attendance emails not working on phones

Unfortunately this is one I can't duplicate but I'm thinking it's likely that someone else has likely seen this. We are now sending our small group leaders the attendance reminder emails to have them track who showed up to the group meeting times. I have received more than a half dozen reports that the link "doesn't work" on phones but does work on tablets and desktop computers. I asked some of them to forward me the emails which weren't working. I tried it on my phone (Windows Phone 8.1) in webmail and the mail app, no issues. Likewise on an old iPhone 4, from both webmail and from the app, the link worked. I forwarded the message to my wife's iPhone 5s (iOS 8.x I think) and it opened fine from her mail app as well. I'm trying to get more clarity which phones, apps and os versions are having the issues, as well as what "doesn't work" means exactly. But is anyone else using the email attendance reminder emails successfully or unsuccessfully from your phone?

Clarification from one user: iPhone 5, iOS 9. Using the stock Mail app. When the orange button is tapped, nothing happens.

I can confirm we are having the same problem. I am using the Outlook app on my Android phone and encounter that issue. When I click the orange button, nothing happens. When I open the same email in a web-email client on my phone, then it works. It also works if I use a Windows PC to view the email.
