Dataviews not showing up in reports

Our dataviews seem to be working fine, but when I go to create a report using a dataview none show up.

Example:

We have a dataview that is filtering all our leaders and it works. Now I want to get a report of their addresses in order to create labels.

When we go to create the report we name it, chose the entity type "person", it loads for a little bit, then when you go to select the dataview to report on we see a little grey circle with a line through it on our cursor and we cannot open the dataview dropdown.

Are we doing something wrong or is it possibly some other issue?

I will say this, if we choose entity type "group" we are able to see group dataviews, but I need person and addresses. So it works for other dataviews, just not "person". Ill also take a quick fix if there is a way for the grid on a adatview to show or export addresses just we we can get this mailer out.

Thanks!

Have you secured (changed the security rights) of your Data Views, or are they all at the defaults? I have not seen this behavior, but we're using default rights and haven't had to lock down any data views at this point. Just wondering if his is a rights issue.

Yes we did try that and it did not appear to be the issue. Im quite confused as to what could be casuing it to happen. I feel like I have tried everything possible to make it work I can think of.

It sounds like something specific to your data views based on Person is preventing the list from populating. Do you have any weird characters in the name of any of these data views? I've tried to dupe what you're seeing here and no matter what Person-based data views show up as expected.

No weird characters. It is quite the conundrum that I think might have surpassed my ability to troubleshoot if there some sort of internal error holding us up somewhere.
