Creativity + Strategy + Rock = Digital Ministry Innovation Published Mar 20, 2020 The Rock community is facing this week’s ministry challenges with creativity, flexibility and a solid collection of digital tools and strategies. Best of all, the community is sharing what it is learning, and that’s where the magic happens. One of the many stories a Rock church has shared with us this week is this one, from Stuart Burt at Lake Pointe Church. “I wanted to send you a brief example of how our team is using Rock during the Coronavirus times. I’m sure you are probably hearing stories like this often, but I’m pretty proud of our team and thought it was worth passing on. As a church leadership team, we decided that care of our members is one of the most important things we can do right now. I told this desire to Steve Swaringen and Chris Funk; and within 24 hours they came up with an elegant way of assigning, contacting, and tracking weekly calls with over 9000 people; all in Rock. To quickly explain the process, we identified five age groups of people and specific staff that would contact them each week. The calls would be to update them on the status of the church, pray for them, and find out if there are any needs that need to be addressed. The "needs" would then be forwarded on to the campus pastor for further follow-up. All of this is accomplished in Rock! Starting next week, staff will start making calls.” Send us your stories of how you’re putting Rock to work connecting with people in new ways this week and we’ll continue sharing these tips with the community.
