Getting to Know Your People At a Glance: How Rock Makes It Simple Published Apr 29, 2016 In Rock RMS, individuals and families are at the core of what we do and why we do it. Since they're the foundation of your ministry, it only makes sense people should also be central to how your database functions. The Person Profile page is by far the most used and powerful page in Rock. This one page gives you a detailed picture of a personʼs involvement in your ministry and the relationships between people. There are four main sections that will tell you everything you need to know. Bio Bar: Gives you details and contact information about the individual. Badge Bar: Uses icons to make a person’s activity simple and easy to digest. Family Bar: Lists each personʼs name, age and Person Profile page link, along with an address and editing link for each family. Tabs Bar: Devoted to subsections, with tabs that are visible according to your security level. Letʼs look at these a little more closely to see how they help you get to know your people. Bio Bar Get to know a person well by starting with the Bio Bar. This handy section includes a photo and a Follow button to add this individual to your following list, where you will receive email updates with notifications about activities like birthdays, baptism, etc. You can add labels and tags for simple grouping and categorizing. Of course, you'll find demographic and contact information (including social media links) here, along with a set of actions that allow you to easily ask this person to send in a photo, or take a personality test or background check. You can send an email to the person directly from this page, and edit any information right on screen. Badge Bar Now that you are familiar with the person, find out how they interact with your organization on the Badge Bar. Rock comes preconfigured with several badges, and you can add even more. The purpose of these badges is to make it easy to see a personʼs activity. Examples of badges that are built in to Rock include Attending Duration, 16 Week Attendance snapshot, Family Attendance, DISC Profile, and more. Family Bar The next step in understanding someone is to see who they're connected with. This is simple with the Family Bar. Not only can you see the other members of their family (and click on their picture to go directly to their Profile Page), but you can also see the address, standardize and geocode the address, and even pull up an interactive map. We know that family relationships can be complex, so we've made sure that each individual can potentially be added to more than one family, both of which would appear in the Family Bar. Tabs Bar Hereʼs where you'll find everything else. There are many subsections of the Tab Bar, which are visible according to your security level. Personal Profile: Notes and key attributes including a timeline with editable notes section, bookmark attributes to make your job easier, connection requests, and known and implied relationships. Extended Attributes: Holds all of the added attributes and groups them by category for easy viewing. Groups: Lists all of the groups, with a grid of important information. Contributions: Shows contributions by individual or family, as well as any repeating giving profiles they've set up. Security: Shows all the security roles and logins assigned to a person, as well as who has looked at this personʼs record and how often it has been viewed. History: Includes communications, attendance, and changes to the personʼs record. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what you can do to really personalize your interactions with your people through Rock.
