Leading Through Unparalleled Ministry Opportunity Published Mar 28, 2020 “The opportunity we have to pastorally care for the Church is unprecedented.” Tyler Vance of Life.Church shared with us this week how their teams are focused on reaching people in new ways. “More people are connecting with God for the first time on a scale we wouldn’t have been able to anticipate a few weeks ago.” The last two weeks of no public gatherings have caused church leaders to quickly strip down priorities to the essentials: get services online, figure out how to work remotely and discover how to connect with their communities digitally. And the Rock community has been heads-down delivering these solutions together. Now that these new priorities are starting to make sense, it’s becoming apparent that the whole world is full of new ministry opportunities. The same abrupt shift that has caused chaos in so many industries has actually cleared people’s lives of constant distraction and compelled many to explore their faith. Chris Nelson of Traders Point Christian Church told us that their weekend chat logs were full of people who hadn’t been to church in years but were now tuned in to live services with their whole families. “This is the time to invite everyone you’ve ever wanted to invite – they’re all looking for hope.” The Rock community, with cutting edge tools and collaboration, is innovating quickly to lead through this time and position their organizations for the future of ministry, no matter what that may look like.
