Protect My Ministry v1 Integration Sunset Announcement

Ten years ago, the core team introduced a basic v1 integration with Protect My Ministry (PMM) to handle background checks in Rock. At the time, Rockʼs plugin community was just getting started, so the core team created several foundational integrations to meet essential needs. That original implementation, now considered legacy, has served us well but is ready for retirement.

As Rockʼs plugin community has grown, PMM stepped up to develop their own integrations with enhanced functionality and richer features.

With this progress in mind, the legacy v1 integration will be officially retired in March 2026. If you don't use Protect My Ministry for background checks or if you are already using the v2 (or later) integration, no action is needed.

If you're unsure whether you're using the v2 integration, a quick way to check is by looking for the Protect My Ministry 2.0 page under System Settings and checking the Action list on a personʼs profile for "Background Check (PMM 2.0)".

Organizations still using the v1 integration are encouraged to transition to one of PMMʼs supported plugins. The PMM v2 and v3 Plugins are available now in the Rock Shop.

By switching to the newer plugins, your organization will continue to benefit from a supported and feature-rich solution for background checks. While the legacy integration will remain functional until March 2026, we recommend starting your transition early to avoid disruptions.
