The Message from RX25 Every Church Needs to Hear Published Oct 14, 2025 RX25 marked our largest gathering ever, with over 800 attendees — and the energy was undeniable! We were thrilled to see a 20% increase in attendance from last year, including more than 300 first-time RX attendees! To give you a sense of the reach and impact of this event, 243 organizations from across four countries — the U.S., Canada, Guatemala, and Australia — were represented. The Rock Community isn’t just growing in size, it’s expanding in influence as we continue to pursue innovation in digital ministry around the globe. Honoring Our Community Leaders A heartfelt congratulations to our Gold Circle Award winners, recognized for their outstanding leadership and innovation in digital ministry. And a special congratulations to Tim Lemons, our 2025 Hall of Fame inductee, whose dedication, generosity, and service truly embody the spirit of Rock. These leaders aren’t just using digital tools — they’re reshaping how the Church engages in a digital age. Their work reflects a growing shift across the Rock Community: a commitment to leveraging technology not for its own sake, but to amplify the mission of the Church. That’s exactly the vision Jon laid out in his opening keynote. First Principles: Rebuilding Digital Ministry from the Ground Up Digital ministry is the most powerful amplifier of the gospel the Church has ever known. Jon Edmiston Jon opened RX25 with a bold reminder: digital ministry holds unmatched potential, but without wisdom, it quickly becomes a distraction. Using first principle thinking Jon challenged us to get back to the Truth and rethink how we use digital tools to serve the Church. He framed his message around five key questions for success in digital ministry, which form a roadmap for every church moving forward: Break the Sunday-Only Mold - Ministry can’t be confined to a one-hour window each week. Digital tools allow us to meet needs in real time during the week — just like Summit Church who included a Daily Experience in their mobile app that receives over 200 prayer requests a day. Focus on Mission, Not Method - Innovation always looks obvious in hindsight. Digital ministry is not a detour or a trend — it’s a tool to amplify the unchanging mission of helping people know Jesus, live in physical community, and become change-makers in the world. Create and Source Content - Content is king. Churches must generate, repurpose, and curate content regularly — and Rock’s built-in content library makes it easier than ever. If every church created just two articles a week, the collective impact would be over 20,000 articles! GPO: God’s People Optimization - We must work through our people, not just on our people. GPO turns members into content aggregators and equips them for the modern day Great Commission. Develop Our Own Outposts - With AI increasingly curating content and filtering messages, the Church must control their own outposts. By building our own channels, we can hyper-personalize discipleship, prevent deplatforming, and lead with spiritual authority. This message wasn’t just for the RX stage — it’s a call for every church to reevaluate how digital tools support the mission.
