ZebraDesigner v3 Released - Is It Worth Your Time?

Zebra recently released ZebraDesigner Essentials 3, a long-overdue upgrade to ZebraDesigner 2, the previous version of their basic WYSIWYG label-design software. While we had high hopes for additional functionality (the ability to create multi-line field blocks was one missing feature), Zebra has seemingly chosen to emphasize user interface improvements over capability enhancements. In fact after reading the release notes, it appears that they have removed more features than they have added.

All things considered, it just doesn't seem like a worthwhile upgrade. The new release is beautiful but has no additional features that would make it more useful for Rock label creation. The Pro edition is also available, but again it doesn't add anything new to justify the additional cost for churches in the Rock community. We'd recommend passing on this release.
