Group Scheduling: System SMS Confirmations and Reminders

Group Complete

We love that Group Scheduling is here, but we feel like a big missing piece is native SMS support.

We have brainstormed a method for accomplishing this using tokenized and shortened URLs in an SMS.

The Confirmation SMS would simply contain the text "You have a new Scheduling Confirmation: link"
The link would log the end user into their "My Church" account and take them to the "Scheduling Toolbox" to view current Scheduling Confirmations.

The Reminder SMS would have the same link but say "This is a reminder that you are scheduled on Sunday, October 13, 2019: link"

The demo shortened URLs that we created are small enough (36 characters) to include separate "Accept" and "Decline" links in the SMS that would function similar to the email links. In that, they are taken to the "My Church Schedule Confirmation" page, but not automatically logged into the "My Church" Site.

In the Group Type Detail for "Scheduling", there would toggles to enable or disable Email and SMS Confirmations and Reminders. Using the same "Offset Days" would be less complicated, but our church would utilize having the SMS and Email Offset Days independent of one another.
