Check-in Group Balancing

Check-in Group Balancing

13.0 Check-in Complete

On Sundays we struggle with room balancing, primarily in our Kindergarten and younger groups. We use the 'preselect based off of previous attendance feature', and we've tried location thresholds, but still struggle with balancing. It would be helpful if Check-in accounted for balancing groups when preselecting a group at self check-in, or possibly preselect based off of group membership.

Thanks to Hillside Christian Church (who funded the development), there will be a new "Location Selection Strategy" configuration option in the Check-in Configuration for a check-in area's group. The options will "Ask" (this is what today's behavior is), Load Balance, and Fill In Order. (The Fill In Order will choose the first location until it hits its 'soft' Threshold capacity.) You should be able to see it on the pre-alpha site in about 3+ weeks (~version 1.13.0.22).
