When a new idea is created, it will pretty much go completely unnoticed unless people take it upon themselves to constantly check the idea page for new ideas. When feature request/ideas got moved from github to the community site we lost the ability to be notified when a new idea is entered. I think it would be very helpful to have "chip" post in the #general channel (or possibly somewhere else) when a new idea is created so that people know it exists and can go read up on it if it sounds like something they might be interested in voting for.
