Keep Sort on the Content Channel Navigation Block

When displaying a content channel's items on the Content Channel Navigation block, all the column headers are clickable to sort them ascending or descending.  However, once you click into an item to view or update it, when you save or cancel out of the item, the navigation page completely refreshes and then we have to sort again.  This is extra clicks and wait time, not only on the page reload, but again to get the desired sorting.
