Allow Nameless Person with Email Only & Communication List Subscribe Form Block

Communication

We want to make it really easy for people to start receiving ministry newsletters or Sunday service information straight to their emails.

We can already have a Nameless Person with only a phone number for SMS Communications. I propose allowing Nameless Persons with only an email address for email communications and membership of Communication Lists (perhaps groups in general).

Then, It'd be nice to have a "Communication List Subscribe Form" block that simply prompts for just an email like you would see on many blogs or shopping sites. If the user is logged in, the form could simply be a button (e.g. "Hi {{FirstName}}, Stay up-to-date by subscribing to {{CommunicationList.Name}}" <<Subscribe Now>>). The block settings would determine which particular Communication List(s) would be subscribed to. The focus here is to add the person to a particular list, rather than the wholesale managing of email preferences.

We could feature this block in the site's footer, for our main newsletter, as well as on the homepages of particular ministry pages for their specific newsletters.

With Workflows, we could then prompt the Nameless Person for more information, advertise other lists or events they might be interested in, etc.
