Ability for Categories to Follow the Set Category Order Instead of Sorting it Alphabetically Plus Make the Description Field Useful

Core

Hello! The categories table has an Order column and the Category Manager Block UI has an option to reorder the list. Currently, when setting Attribute Category, all of the blocks or UI will arrange attributes in Alphabetical order and not by the order it was set. It might be insignificant for others but it is for us. Rock's UI is already not user friendly and selling the product to Staff, Lay Leaders, and Pastors that are less computer savvy is giving me a headache most of the time. I am spending time to break apart attributes into chunks so it does makes sense at first glance. It does work, it makes the UI more desirable when attributes are categorized by function but the Order is important as well.

Another feature in Category that is not in use is the Description. It would be nice if the description can become a tooltip info just like how it works with Workflow Attributes.

Just a side note. I've set a global CSS (Rock Theme) to turn any attribute category to a fieldset so it wraps all the attributes in a box and turn the category title as the Legend text. If possible, maybe an option in the category to display:

  • As Heading (Which is the current behavior)
  • As Fieldset
