To my knowledge, events in Rock currently can be personalized only by campus, and using the "Audience Type" defined values.
While the initial events feature had already been built out before the newer CMS personalization features, I think it will bring alignment and clarity to the community on the long-term strategy for personalization across Rock as a platform if it were to be updated to utilize the same personalization segments that are able to be leveraged for content.
Since there are many churches currently using the audiences functionality, there may need to be a setting (on the calendar?) that controls which method is used, giving churches the ability to migrate over on their own timelines.
