Check Out Function

Check Out Function

Check-in

Currently we use Rock RMS for check in for all of our classes and our kids rooms. We also use checkin manager to be able to view the (almost accurate) list of kids in the rooms. The issue is we can't tell what kids have been picked up or are still in the room because there is no way to check kids out through checkin manager. If you "X" out a child's name it deletes their attendance for that day. But if we could add a check out function then we could see an actual live list of who is in the room. Here is how I picture it;

Currently, when kids check in the get a random 3 letter/digit code that prints on their tag and a separate tag for their parents to keep with them. Matching these two tags is the only way for a child to be picked up. Instead it would be nice to have a barcode print on the tags (or a QR code) that could be scanned upon checkout. This would update checkin manager and give us a real view of who's in the room and who has been picked up. If you've ever dealt with a situation where a parent can't find their child because the other parent or sibling picked them up this would be a life saver! If you have times where kids are transferring rooms from one service to the next, they could be scanned into that room and show up on that roster. That would also eliminate the possibility of misreading tags, speed up the pick up process, and be able to show us analytics of the busiest pick up times. A check out function would be amazing!
