Transaction Detail screen to allow selection of person by Envelope Number

I can see on the Transaction Matching screen that it is possible to search for donor by Envelope Number.

Is it also possible to be able to do this on the Transaction Detail page?  I can't see anywhere where I can turn on or enable the ability to search by Envelope Number on this page.

We use envelope numbers.  Envelope numbers are unique to individuals.  As an easy lead into transaction entry I envision we would use the Transaction Detail page to manually enter transaction details until we get set up with a scanner to scan envelopes.  Is there any way to turn on searching by Envelope Number to speed up work-flow?  Obviously we can search on via a report that lists numbers and names, and then select the person by entering their name - but it will be much faster if we can enter directly the envelope number to get straight to the person, without having to wait for Rock to search and select a person based on their name.

Surely I'm not the first person with this requirement?  Am I missing something?

Suggestion: Add a field to select person by Envelope Number on this page:
