Scottsdale Bible Church’s (SBC) main campus is in beautiful Scottsdale Arizona. As the Data Insights & Development Director, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to Pastor of Central Ministries and are responsible for strategically aligning SBC’s operations with the church’s vision and strategy for the Rock Relational Management System (RockRMS).

Your Essential Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

• Partner with RockRMS Consultants, and Ministry Leadership to develop, configure, manage data and influence relational information strategies that meet SBC ministry and department needs

• Create, plan and manage Rock RMS FY budget

• Lead a RockRMS Database team to complete needed tasks and projects

• Develop workflows to automate organizational processes

• Configure RockRMS to intake, analyze and display church participation data to improve the daily functions and relationships for SBC’s ministry and support department staff

• Interact with and empower ministries and support departments with RockRMS driven processes, events, and reporting

• Create reports and dashboards with SQL queries

• Maximize the relational impact of RockRMS for the entire congregation

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and procedures on RockRMS system additions and changes

• Manage policies and procedures related to data security and integrity

• Manage system and security access for employees and volunteers

• Ensure project and department milestones and goals are met on time and within budget

• Assess current and projected database functionality and make recommendations

• Provide training documentation and guidelines for end users as needed

• Maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices for church management software (ChMS)

• Partner with the Communications and Web team on implementing the SBC website functionality and integration with RockRMS

• Provide relational support to staff, volunteers, and program participants as needed

• Related duties or special projects as assigned

As a Team Leader, you will:

• Act as a servant leader by training, encouraging, coaching, and developing your Team Member(s)

• Foster a spirit of trust and of innovation on your team

• Meet personally in a pre-scheduled one-on-one meeting with each Team Member at least once a month

• Conduct annual performance reviews

• Approve PTO requests, timecards, and expense reports

Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential):

Skills you need to succeed:

Knowledge of:

• Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

• Rock RMS and ChMS

• C# programming language

• SQL

Demonstrated competency in:

• Supervising and developing employees and business processes

• Project management

• Writing SQL queries and reports

• Creating, developing, implementing, leading and driving strategies and projects through to completion

Education and/or experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent, and earned degrees and/or related training and certifications

• 3+ years of experience in or closely related ChMS clientele
