Valley Real Life has a position open for a process-oriented individual who will administer and maintain Rock and work with our IT teams on project and systems management. MY "ONE THING" The systems coordinator’s one thing is maintaining and improving the accuracy, manageability, and functionality of data systems used at VRL, providing training and support to create efficient and effective ministry for all staff and volunteers. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide database administration for our current ChMS, Rock RMS. Maintain data integrity with frequent audits and overseeing routine cleanup. Develop volunteer teams to assist in management of data (recruit, equip, and release). Create reports and dashboards as required to accomplish organizational goals. Perform or coordinate database customizations and optimizations. Work with communications coordinator to support for VRL mobile app and website. Create and maintain documentation and training opportunities for staff and volunteers. Assist team lead with project coordination, budgets, and cross team collaboration. Develop rapport with Rock RMS community as source of learning and development. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Proficient in Rock RMS and/or software development, and CRM management. Strong and concise verbal and written communication with a focus on technical writing. Coachable with a desire to learn beyond the basics of our database platform. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL will be helpful. Experience in various project management methodologies. Strong time management abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Years of Experience: 2 years in systems administration or database/CRM management. Minimum Education: AA degree in information systems or quivalent work experience. Leadership: Must have experience leading or directing volunteer teams or employees. STAFF EXPECTATIONS Attends VRL church services on a regular basis. Attended a DNA class, signed a membership agreement, and is in missional alignment with VRL. Be in a life group on a regular basis. Committed to regular giving of income to God through VRL. Abiding in Christ and continuing to grow toward Christ-likeness and spiritual maturity. Strong interpersonal skills, clear communicator, and humble character. Self-motivated and looks for additional areas to contribute. Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail. Ability to make adjustments in work style for the benefit of the team. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as there are seasons of irregular work hours based on memorial services, events, classes, and other church activities. Attend monthly All Staff meeting and participate in department meetings or other meetings when requested to do so. Work in close association with the entire staff to build and maintain a strong team environment among our staff and complete the work necessary to fully serve and support the ministries and events of Valley Real Life.
