Liquid Church is seeking a full-time Web Developer who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing current web properties built on RockRMS, as well as developing and launching new websites and digital projects to support the mission of Liquid Church. We are looking for a front end developer who has experience working with HTML, CSS and Javascript as well as a good understanding of GraphQL and other web APIs. A full time position, the schedule is generally Monday-Friday for a total of 40 hours per week, reporting to the Digital Products Director.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and enhancing Liquid’s public and internal websites.
  • Maintaining and enhancing Liquid’s app. 
  • Developing new websites, applications and solutions on the RockRMS platform.
  • Implementing best practices for performance, availability and security of developed software.
  • Identifying and establishing best practices for the RockRMS platform.
  • Coordinating with other departments as well as external vendors on software development projects.
  • Assisting with digital help desk requests and issues as needed.
  • Support and make available RockRMS metrics for dashboards and other uses.
  • Working closely with the IT department to maintain web services on Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
  • Work toward becoming an expert and evangelist for the RockRMS platform within the church.
  • Connect, support, and train non-technical Liquid staff on the RockRMS platform.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for websites and our mobile app at Liquid. 

Qualifications

  • Education - Bachelors in Software Development, Computer Science, Information Technology, or commensurate experience.
  • Tech Stack - RockRMS, Lava, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Additional technologies used - React, Bootstrap, GoLang.
  • Project Management - Ability to see through major projects and meet weekly deadlines.
  • Organization - Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at once.
  • Communication - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relational Ability - Has integrity and personal character and works well with Staff and volunteers of varying personality types. Being able to positively interact with multiple types of people in a variety of settings will be a key ingredient of success. 
  • Excellence - Maintain a high level of excellence and quality in personal interactions with Staff and Volunteers.
