Unable to move people to a new group

We are using 8.4 and I am now unable to move people to a new group using the "move" button. This is the message I keep getting. What do I need to change to make it work again?

Amber, this issue has been fixed in v8.5 (currently in beta). You can find all updates, fixes, and enhancements on the release notes page.

Thanks, so are we out of luck on moving people (and keeping the history intact) until the next version is released? If so, is there a work around? I know I can manually add people to the group but I wouldn't want to remove them from their existing group because that would also delete the fact that they were in that first group?

As far as I can tell to maintain the group history we have to wait. I found this bug initially and the amazing Spark team fixed it within a day. The challenge is being patient through the proper alpha, beta testing phases until the next release with the fix is properly released.
