Forum search producing strange results

As I've been getting familiar with the forums I've noticed a couple of different issues with the search functionality.

Primarily, it seems that searching for more than one word will return results that include any of these words, or at least it seems to, since I would search for 2 or 3 words and get results back that do not include all those words.

Secondly, at the moment every time I type a search term into this General Use forum I either get 21 results or none. But even if I get 21 results there is a next button that takes me to another page of results, which do not seem to have the search terms in them that I specified.  I haven't counted to see if I actually get 21 results each time but that's what it says at the top of the page.

I'm trying to make the most of this forum for figuring out problems but not being able to search for more than one word at a time has made it pretty challenging.

Thanks!

    Chris,

It seems that the search results have an "all or nothing" approach: if there are any matches for the search terms, the whole collection of questions in the forum is returned ranked by relevance. I agree, this does make it difficult to figure out where the matching results end. Also, you are right that it would be useful to have the option to match "all" or "any" of the search terms.

Perhaps you could log these suggestions in the Black Book?
