Demo Use

I would like to be able to see what the Check In tags look like through the demo. Is this possible?

Also - how customizable are the check in tags? I know you can change what info goes on, but is the format or look customizable too?

Finally - once you have downloaded and set up your server, I see that some people are using iphones/ipads to check in. How are they linked to the server? wifi, bluetooth,

Thanks for your help

You can see the default labels in the check-in documentation.

Yes, you can customize the layout in addition to the content. That's in the documentation too. :)

    Ipads are connecting through wifi.

There is no way to "see" the tag visually within Rock. They are created via free ZebraDesigner software and uploaded into rock for use. I would definitely dig into all the Rock documentation, but your specific question about labels should be answered here http://www.rockrms.com/Rock/BookContent/10/85#allaboutlabels While the default labels should work for many churches, know that they are completely customizable... you don't even need to stick with the same size they use, you can change the layout to whatever ZebraDesigner allows (which is just about anything).

Regarding ipad check-in, there are two ways this is accomplished:

    1. Using the Rock check-in App, it can print directly to a networked printer's IP address (the ipad is of course wifi, the printer just needs to be routable on the local network, either via wired ethernet or wifi). This is the option you would have to use if your Rock server is hosted outside of your network.

    2. Using "server" printing, the iPad just accesses the Rock check-in pages but the printing is done via a local Windows server directly to the networked printers' IP address. This is only a viable option if your Rock server is hosted on your local network.
