Delay after clicking 'Next' in Check-in for families on Sundays

Once we've selected a family and chosen the children go to the relevant areas and click 'Next' there ends up being a long delay (sometimes up to a minute) before everything goes through. It seems to be worse the more children that are selected. Our internet connection is relatively fast so I don't think that is the problem. Any suggestions?

We are currently using Azure. We used to host it locally on a server and then transitioned to Azure earlier this year. The delay issue was present when we used local hosting as well

Do you have the Rock Maintenance job set up to run daily? It kind of sounds like your db might have indexes that haven't been updated in a long time. Also, is the delay between clicking "Next" and the label printing? If so, that indicates Rock is having trouble communicating with your printers... how are you printing? Are they on wifi?
