Intro to Entities ()

The word "entity" is used to describe the classification unit of different types of data in Rock. For instance, PeopleGroupsFinancial TransactionsLocations and Pages are all entities in Rock. If you’re familiar with databases, entities are very similar to tables. In fact, most entities in Rock have an associated table in the database.

You might be asking, "Why do I need to know this?" For the most part, you don’t have to know a thing about entities to successfully use Rock. You'll see the term in many of the configuration screens so it’s good to know what it is.
