For many organizations, digital media is part of a training process. For instance, a new volunteer might need to watch certain videos to better understand the organization and how it works. Or you might have employees or volunteers who are required to watch a video as part of their job. Either way, you can accomplish tasks like these using Rock's media features and workflows. All you need to do is use an attribute of type "Media Watch" in your workflow's form, and you're ready to go. The way it works is you can set a Completion Percentage, which indicates how much of the video the person is supposed to watch. This means the workflow form won't validate until the person has reached the percent of completion you set. The individual must actually watch that percentage of the video...skipping ahead doesn't count because the percentage represents unique seconds of the video. Field Type - The type of attribute must be "Media Watch".Media - This is where you'll set which video should be watched after selecting the Account and Folder to which it belongs. Each attribute relates to only a single video, so you'll need multiple attributes of this type for multiple videos.Completion Percentage - Here you'll set the percentage of the video that must be watched. If this attribute is set as Required on your workflow's form, the person must watch this much of the video before they are able to submit the form. This is optional and can be left blank if there is no minimum watch requirement.Auto Resume in Days - This is where you specify how many days to look back for the auto resume feature, so the person can pick up right where they left off. Leaving this field blank is the same as looking back zero days, which effectively disables the auto resume feature.Maximum Video Width - Setting a maximum width for the video player is helpful in places like workflows where you won't want the video to end up taking over the whole screen.Validation Message - If someone tries to submit your workflow form without watching the minimum required length of the video (set using the Completion Percentage field) then the message you provide here will be displayed. This only applies if the attribute is Required on the form. NoteMedia Watch on Workflow Entry FormWhen you're setting up the Form action on your workflow, make sure that the media watch attribute is both Visible and Editable.
