Use RFID Check-in

Did you know you can use RFID readers for check-in? It’s a great alternative to standard barcodes. Setting up RFID works exactly like setting up a barcode—you’re simply using a different device to read the data.

To work with Rock, your reader needs to support "keyboard wedge." This is just a fancy way of saying the device acts like a keyboard, typing the information it scans directly into the computer.

Note

Hardware Compatibility
If your device doesn't support keyboard wedge natively, don't worry. You can use a free utility like Smartlux 232 Key to bridge the gap. This tool captures the data and sends it to the active window on your screen.

How It Works

Once you associate an RFID tag with a family, you're all set. There is no extra configuration needed.

Imagine Ted Decker walking up to a kiosk with his family. He simply taps his RFID card while looking at the Welcome screen. Rock instantly recognizes the card and launches the check-in process for the Decker family. It’s that simple!
