There are some general settings that control how giving automation features work at a high level. These settings drive much of what you see on the Giving Overview and are used by the Giving Automation job. This configuration can be accessed by clicking the ti ti-settings icon near the top right of the list of alerts under Finance > Giving Alerts. Typically, you won't make changes to these settings once they're in place. Enable Giving Automation - This needs to be enabled for the Giving Automation job to run, perform calculations and assign giving alerts. Even if you're not using alerts, you'll probably want to keep this enabled to ensure the giving information on the Person Profile page is up to date and accurate.Days to Update Giving Group Classifications - You might not need to update your giving data every day, or you only need the data updated weekly. For instance, Sunday giving is typically entered on Mondays, so you might choose to only run the update on Mondays. Choosing only certain days to update giving group classifications can help lighten the load on your system.Transaction Types - By default, the giving information described in the prior section comes only from contributions. However, you can choose to include payments for event registrations in the calculations. If you include event registrations, be sure to keep in mind that they do not apply to giving alerts.Accounts - Typically, you'll want the giving calculations to include gifts to any tax-deductible account. However, you can optionally provide a custom list of individual accounts if you want to limit where the giving data is coming from.
